Hi. First time PC builder. I just built a rig with a ryzen 2700x on an asrock x370 taichi. Everything is new except for a 1060 I got 2 years ago that's carrying over from my other PC which died a few months ago. Not getting any display on startup and as I watch it run through the numbers on the mobo led display it gets stuck on something that looks like either E6 or 93. Now upon investigating dr debug theres no e6 so I went with 93 which falls within a range of error codes set aside for pcie read errors. I've tried both pcie slots on this mobo and get the same error. Does that mean my GPU is faulty? How can I know for sure?

Well, not 100% sure on that. I dont have a display to do anything in terms of interaction with software anyways. Besides, would that show up as a pcie error? It goes through several other checks with no issue but it gets stuck specifically on 93. I should also mention the gpu fan comes on when I first start up the computer so I know it's getting powered and it's definitely seated correctly.

if it pointing to an issue with a PCI-E slot then you should try to boot it up without the GPU installed to see if you get a different error code. but first make sure you have the right BIOS version for that CPU to work right. the BIOS version your board has should be printed somewhere on the box the motherboard came in

Indeed. I'm going to leave this thread open until I get the boot kit in and see if that will be the only issue i run into. In the meantime, thanks for your help folks
