Built PC, graphics card wont display anything, no on board graphics.

He said there's no onboard graphics, so there's nothing to connect the monitor to on the motherboard.

The GPU's fan is kicking on. It is plugged into the power and in the PCIe first slot.

So, the video card has an adapter to convert DVI to VGA. I plugged a 25 foot VGA cable into that and got no picture. (the max distance for VGA is about 30 feet) I am not sure if the signal just degrades too much. I plugged in an hdmi cable and plugged it into a monitor right next to the computer and that did not work either. Do i need to use a certain output on the graphics card? I wonder if the VGA was just too long and I need to use the DVI port before drivers are installed. Could this be my issue?

Any port should work. Is this a new build or was there another GPU card attached previously? If there was another card, you may need to put it back in and delete it's drivers. If this is a new build, I hate to say it, but it might be a bad GPU card. You should contact MSI to RMA.

Brand new build. Everything was. Could it be the motherboard? When I turn on the computer, it looks like its starting up, the LED's on the case turn on and the light on the motherboard indicating system power turns on.

Make sure all the connections are sealed, i had the same problem with my PC when i built it ahwhile back, everything turned on, LEDS, fans, graphics card fans etc but i had no signal. the problem was that the motherboard 24pin connector was hanging on by a thread! i seated it properly and clipped it down and i was able too boot into the windows installer.

So you fixed it by the gpu not connected properly way ?
