i will assume you have at least done a little homework on overclocking so ill get down to the process your talking about. really its pretty simple and can be done a variety of ways. the basic process is:
1)MAKE SURE THE HSF IS ON PROPERLY!!!
2)bump up multiplier or fsb, but NOT both at the same time
3)make sure you boot up; if you dont up the core voltage a little then try again
4)load your os and run some benchmarks a few times to see if you do it without crashing, this is where you can decide to now bump the multiplier/ fsb more or see how stable you are for a day or so
5)if you decide to overclock more, skip to step 2, but remember to keep an eye on your temperatures!!
so thats basically it, there is a little variation, but that is generally the safe route
