Burnt my figner

Plugged in the new 1080 ti that I got from my wife for Christmas, was very excited. Threw her in and plugged in the 8 , 6 power connectors. PC wouldn't start said OK and unplugged the power connectors to the gpu and started the computer. It fired right up! Then one minute later a smelled smoke and heat, touched the GPU and it burnt the mother out of my finger. You be sure that i'm returning this product back to newegg for a new one.

A 1080ti wants an 8 and 6 pin not a 6 and a 4. Your problem may be that you don't have the correct power supply.

I meant 8 and 6, my bad. Will fix main post.

I would indeed get a new one from new egg, this seems like the gpu was getting way to much voltage.
