Buy a gtx 760 now or wait for maxwell?

Hello, im a regular reader of tom's hardware and its community and have always found this place very helpful. so im making a little money teaching here and there and have approximately enough for a gtx 760. should i go fir it or wait for maxwell? i may have enough by the time maxwell rolls out to get an enthusiast card. Question is, would it be worth it? oh and my display is a dell 300wfp-hc at 2560x1600 (got it for a steal from a dude who thought it was a small tv). my current card is a gtx 650 ti and that thing cant handle such a display

GTX 770 should work just dandy

The 760 is more powerful. It consumes 170W while the Maxwell 750Ti consumes 150W. However it is also less powerful.
Bottom line, doesn't matter really. Get whichever you feel is good.
Personally I'll go for the 760.

Oh sorry about that, did the underline by mistake.
Would a 760 or even a 770 be enough for the next 3 or 4 years? games that i play are the witcher series

At your resolution you need the GTX 770 (at a minimum)

For 'long-term' you should look toward the GTX 780 or R9 290.
