Should i buy a GTX 970 / R9 390 or should i wait for the next-gen graphics card with the new architecture's. If so when are they going to be released. Thanks in advance

Solution
Ah, very good.

In that case I'd say go for a R9 390. You'll want to finish out the build before the end of next year I'm sure, and the R9 390 will be a great card for several more years.
The Pascal line is currently planned to release late 2016.

Upgrading entirely depends upon your budget and how happy you are with what you have at the moment. If you think you'll be able to enjoy your current card until close to the end of next year (when Pascal will be released) then stick with what you have.

If you're unhappy with your current card go ahead and upgrade. The best time to upgrade hardware is when you need it. There is always something great on the horizon.

The thing is i'm going to build a gaming pc, coming from a PS4 which i sold. I currently have a PC from 2007 lol.

AMD Athlon II 64 7750 BE
8GB RAM DDR2 800Mhz (lol)
No dedicated GPU

My budget for my GPU is +- €350 max.

Are you building a brand new PC or planning on using the AMD Athlon II? If so that is going to bottleneck any high-end card like the GTX 970 or R9 390, so you'll need to look at upgrading more than just the GPU before getting a new graphics card.

No i was just planning to throw away that pc and build a skylake one.
