Buyers opinion : My dealings with Cliffy

First of all, my BSD and CFTBL needed hole protection.
I read all the time about the perfect products that Cliffy produces, so i
thought i give it a shot.

I set my expectations before i go and buy something.....
(something a seller always must have in mind, in my opinion anyhow...)
Did Cliffy meet up to my expectations ? NO HE DID NOT !!!

First expectation :
"I am going to shoot a mail to him, maybe I'll get an answer after couple of
days/weeks"
**Nope, emails me back after a couple of hours.

Second expectation :
"I only want two protectors, so Cliffy will not be interessted"
**Instead of being blunt, he's friendly and helpfull.

Third expectation :
"Oke, i am going to order those protectors, they will arrive just before
Christmas (living in The Netherlands)"
**Again, expectation not fullfilled, it only took one week to arrive!

Fourth expectation :
"The goods will be wrapped in an old newspaper so they will be dented"
**Well wrapped in a bubble envelope, so the protectors looks gorgeous.

To sum things up :
When you want the same treatment as me, go for Cliffy at
www.passionforpinball.com otherwise take your business elsewhere
It's up to you.....

Jelle,

Nice post! I'd like to add a simple "Cliffy Is" quiz:

Cliffy Is:

A) The (bad) cat's meow.
B) The whole ball of wax (or steel...)
C) All that and a bag of... unopened goodies still stapled to the inside of
the cabinet
D) As smooth as (playfield) glass
E) All of the above

Seriously, Even though it's been said a gazillion times on this
newsgroup, it's not at all "cliche" to say that Cliffy is the among the best
this hobby has to offer. I'm glad to know him!

I will have to agree. I grabbed a set of his NGG lift catches. He
shipped them almost instantly and I got them in like 2 days. It goes
without saying they are a great product and a vast improvement over the
originals.

Not only great products, but he actually cares. I bought a set of
protectors for my FH and lost them in the move to my new house. I
explained that and he gave me a discount on the next set. I was ready
to pay full price. Now this was the truth, I did lose them in the move.
I would not suggest you try to take advantage of his kindness.

That's it...I'm gonna buy a CFTBL just so I can buy a set of Cliffy
protectors! 😉

Nah. I'm happy to help folks save their games and by doing so we're all
