Hello,
Currently I had a dying 980ti. Now i'm currently moving on and I'm willing to buy a new gpu that runs games on high 1080p. The thing is I currently only trust Nvidia since i have a great experience with them. I had my eyes looking at the 1660ti, but recently I saw that everyone is praising AMD's new 1080p king Rx 5600xt, so I saw the reviews and was impressed with the great performance that card gives, but the thing is AMD good to buy a gpu from? since i heard about the drivers problems and high temperatures and that would result in less better experience and lowered survivability. I'm looking for something that can serve 5 years+ like my old GTX 980ti...

Thanks in advance

Specs:
MSI B450m gaming plus
EVGA GTX 980ti ACX 2.0 SC.
Ryzen R5 2600x
Adata XPG 8gb 3200mhz (Looking forward to get another stick for the dual channel boost)
Samsung m2 500gb SSD
2tb WD HDD
1tb WD HDD

A 1660 Ti only offers similar performance to a 980 Ti in most games, a little faster in some, and a little slower in others, so it wouldn't exactly be a worthwhile upgrade if you are looking for more performance than what you had. On Nvidia's side, an RTX 2060 will be a little faster (by around 15% or so), which is roughly similar to the performance of a 5600 XT, and offers a few additional features. Some of those can be had for not much more than a 1660 Ti, starting around $300 in the US...

The next step up would be a 2060 SUPER, with up to around another 15% more performance over a 2060, but they start around $400...
I seen many people on forums asking about there Rx 5600xt so sounds like many people bought one, Only thing can suggest about temps is to use MSI afterburner during games get the fan speed up. Also what PSU are you using because with that AMD card it needs 550 W and correct PCI cable think its 8 pin!

Obviously I have a 600w PSU that supports 8 & 6 pin to power my gtx 980ti, sadly it got internally defected although there's no any hardware burns when I opened it up. So yea its time to upgrade.
