Im planning on getting an ATI Radeon R9 290x, which I believe uses 375 watts maximum, but I dont know how much the rest of my PC uses. I currently have an AMD Radeon HD 6750 as well as a 500 watt power supply. As I bought my computer (huge mistake by the way, I wish I had just got the parts and built it myself) I only have the list provided by windows. (http://puu.sh/fTjf9/f55ef2b452.png) If there is any other information you may need, please also tell me how to find said information.

we need to know your exact PSU to give a definitive answer but my guess would be no you will need to get a new PSU. you would be better off going with the new 9xx series by nvidia as they require much less power than a radeon of = performance.

I would not recommend running a 290x of of that. as he said its pretty bad. your options are either to get a new psu and get a 290 or get a 9 series nvidia. honesty i wouldn't bother with a 290 in that rig anyway. it would be kinda like putting a turbo V8 in a geo. You will start to run into bottleneck in a lot of current games.

Any idea which power supply on that list is affordable? I dont have tons of cash, and I really want to get that GPU. And if not that GPU, please link me to one around the same price.

GTX 970 is a good choice. EVGA one costs about $350. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487076. Also, don't forget to check if the card can fit into your case. Your motherboard is an ATX one I assume?

So I just want to make sure, with my parts already in my PC besides my PSU and GPU, the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Super Clocked ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5 with the SeaSonic 650-Watt ATX12V/EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply SSR-650RM would be good, right?

If you go with a 970 or 980 i wouldn't think it would not be necessary to get a new psu although it would be ideal.
