I would like to replace my old monitor with something newer. I think newer monitors can show much more of the game I am playing than old monitors. But I am new to this.
I am building an entirely new budget gaming PC - I want to make sure it will handle a bigger monitor. What monitors are a good value (I am broke)? What system specs would I need to be able to handle the new monitor?
Thanks!
Tom's Questions:
1. What Is Your Country Of Origin? USA
2. What do you plan to do with this monitor? (ex. Games, Movie Watching, Photo Editing, etc.) Games (Warcraft now, Bioware's Anthem later)
3. What resolution and screen size do you want? Unsure
4. What refresh rate do you want? (ex. 60 hz , 70 hz.) Unsure - I think I want games to run at 30-60 FPS but I am not sure how to translate that
5. How much are you looking to spend? I have $1,000 for a new PC build - not sure how much to allocate to monitor
6. Brands Preferred (ex. Samsung, Acer, Asus, AOC, HP, Viewsonic, etc. ) No clue
7. Brands Not Preferred (state reason why) No clue
8. Are You Buying More Than One Monitor? No
9. How Many Displays Can Your GPU Support Maximum? And what GPU and driver version are you using if applicable? I'll make a new PC to handle this monitor - will be a single display - I only have one monitor
10. What Port Do You Want To Connect To (ex. DVI-D, HDMI, etc). Dunno
11. Is This Monitor A Primary Display Or A Secondary Display? Primary
[12. Is This A Secondary Display For A Laptop? No
