I have a decent collection of old PC-CD games, that I want to play on a laptop. I've found some for sale, especially the 'Thinkpad T60 core duo T2400' and the 'Dell Latitude D620'

From what I can tell, the Thinkpad is delivered with a 1.8GHz Indel Core Duo with integrated graphics, 2GB of RAM and a DVD/CD-drive.
The Dell is delivered with 1.6GHz Intel Core Dup, Quadro NVs 110M graphics and 2,5GB RAM.
Both is XP Professional models.

Which of these would be my best option? The games I plan on using is the first Harry Potter games and some other retro titles I own.

(And yes, I am fully aware that it is possible to dualboot XP on my current machine, run it in VirtualBox, and that it's possible to download patches for most of the games to work with Windows 7/8/10, and yes, I am fully aware of compatibility mode- it's just not what I am after..)

Thanks! 🙂

Solution
We're using several Dell's (D610 and D620) throughout the office, without problems, for last 10+ years. Having discrete GPU might be a plus for your games.
If you actually do want to use another laptop I would definitely buy the ThinkPad because you would rather get something you know the specifications for rather than getting a nasty surprise.

Get the Thinkpad. There are a pile of IBM FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) parts out there, as I have two T42s and this was still before the transition to Lenovo. The whole laptop is designed to be field stripped in 30 minutes or less, and there are a pile of instructions as to how to do this, with images.
