buying a prebuilt pc and turning into gaming pc

I need to know your opinion on what prebuilt pc to buy either online at a local store like best buy or walmart. I need something under $400 with windows 7 or 8, decent quadcore processor, 8GB RAM, stock graphics card (I will be replacing this preferably with an AMD), and a 1TB hard drive. The pc can be a refurb or new, just as long as it is compatable with an AMD gfx and has a large enough processor.

Well if 06 would send me that 9800 gtx+ and W8 id be all set. Then I could do a LOT with my $400 to finish my build. Any ideas?
