Buying a refurbished Graphics Card/Motherboard?

Hey guys so i am building my computer and i found a deal on eBay of a MSI GTX 970 4G and a MSI z97 Gaming 5 that were both manufacturer refurbished. If i bought them in this bundle i would save over $200. Now i would normally turn away instantly from buying a refurb, but since they are both MSI products, each item has 2 1/2 years warranty left. Should i get em?

I never buy refurbs for electronics. How can I be assured that they are ok and not damaged? Not worth the hassle in my mind.

Unless you can test the items in person, it's a risk.
Plus you need to check if the warranty is transferrable. Many are not.
