The disk was still powered on (and off) almost daily for 5 years though. Turning it on, running for a few hours, then off again like that would probably be more impactful than just leaving the disk spinning.
I still recommend just buying a new 1TB, they are cheap.
If you absolutely need to save that 30 bucks buying 5 years old, then I guess you could?
Its a pretty bad idea given how cheap HDDs are.
It's not the 5 years that has me buying it...but the fact that according to crystal disk it's been used just for around 270 days. I usually wouldn't bother, but the report makes the offer a bit tempting
