Hello everyone.

I am thinking about buying a used i5 2400 @3.1 Ghz from ebay or amazon.I've seen many used 2400's with a price around 50-70 euro and it's really tempting.I would like to know your opinion about buying a used cpu.Is it safe?Is there any way to make the buyer prove the products full functionality before buying it? and if there is i would like to know what i should look for or what i should ask the buyer in order to be sure that the cpu is working perfectly.

Waiting for your answers! Thanks in advance.

I actually just bought a used i5 3570k a couple weeks ago to replace the previous 3570k that I ruined trying to delid. It works perfectly fine I am happy. Kinda bummed that it is not near as good of an overclocker as my old one, but that's how the game goes I guess.

The sellers are expected to provide accurate descriptions of the item they are selling, if it differs in any way (they say it works, but...

I bought a FX-6300 off someone second-hand, and it rain perfectly fine. As the first guy said, make sure to check their feedback and past products. If they don't look at all sketchy, go ahead and buy it. Good luck.
