My Desktop of 12 years died on me this morning. Hopefully the HD still works because my dev stuff is on there haha. I will be buying this today in the US. It will be used for work, then gaming secondarily on another HD/SSD (never tried it). I don't plan on upgrading anything for another 12 years (except maybe GPU). I am budget minded, but have a 1k budget preferably less. No monitor, no OS needed. Did some reading, but I don't know much about hardware, and I appreciate all the help I can get.
I would like the rig to run quiet and cool, low maintenance, easy to put together, and last a decade.
CPU Ryzen 5 3600 - $200 sale on newegg
GPU
if there is any good deals out there I'll buy one (if not I think my old system's 1050 Ti will still work)
Mobo
some 550 model, not sure about features I'm looking for need a lot of help on this. Maybe Gigabyte, since my last system lasted over 10 years. I plug a USB WIFI card for internet. Rather not have to flash BIOS or anything inconvenient.
RAM 16 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DD4 3200 - $84
sounds good.
HD
my old one. I have a spare Seagate Compute 2TB, but I can return it.
PSU
no clue. last one was 800w
Case
spacious one that makes installation and cable management easy. Air cooling, so I don't have to bother.
Extra Fans
would like it to run quiet and cool for 10 years. cpu fans, other fans. I read some good reviews on ARCTIC products.
Monitor
any good deals? not required
I appreciate your time and help very much guys. I had a project I was working on for two months. Hopefully the HD still works haha.
