[SOLVED] Buying used cpu

I have a question for all of you good folk's out there. i kind of have a bit of a coversation with my friend the other day about used cpu.
I was planning on getting a i5 3570
While he was planning on getting the ryzen 3 2200g
I noticed that both of this cpu has similar performance (in my opinion)
The i5 is clocked @ 3.4 ghz
and the ryzen is @3.5 ghz
Is a Used cpu still worth it? cause if i went to buy a ryzen, that means i need to change my mobo and ram.

I wouldn't go with that I5, just because at 1080p gaming it's already maxed out on AAA games. The Ryzen 2200g is very similar in performance to the I5.

What is the rest of you PC specs, and what do you want to achieve? Gaming, mutitasking, browsing.

If your motherboard support i5 3570 , buy a used cpu.

Intel core i5 3330s @2.7ghz
Gigabyte h61m-ds2 rev 3.0
8gb ram
Asus gtx 1050 dual fan
Hdd 500gb
Cooler Master mwe 450

Im kinda looking for a esport base pc, not looking for multitasking or editing

I don't see much point in upgrading to that i5 unless it's $20 or less. There would be a difference but marginal.

Agree with dstin. That is not an upgrade on what you have. The i5 3330 is pretty close in performance to the 3570. It just doesn't make sense.
