Hey guys
So i'm building a pc out of old parts since i'm sick of the E7400 & gt 220 setup i have.
i was just wondering is it safe to buy used SSD's i never buy used HDD's for obvious reason but what about ssd's.
also would an ssd be worth it with a Q8200 with Win 10 and a HD 6950 i don't know alot about ssd's.
cheers guys

Hello... I have Bought used INTEL SSD's they are still working... Some OLDER SSD brands and models have a higher failure rate because of a Bad design, check that info before buying.
SSD File access IS a huge speed improvement... for that purpose/use... they pretty much connect and power just like your HD did. If you want get your first one to play with... 64gb is enuff room Just for you OS to Load on and Boot off of... and use another HD with it for your larger storage needs. intel, crucial, sandisk, and Samsung are good brands.

What size/make/model?
How much does a new one of the same cost in your market?

It was a PCI slot SSD i saw someone selling fro $15 (aud) and i don't want to go spending $100 for an SSD because it's going in a pc i'm gonna pickup for $50 with a Q8200 and WIN 10 and i'm gonna pickup 2 HD 6950's a guy is selling for $100. so yeah $150 pc because i am a student and i have like no money so old but gold core 2 quad for me 😀
