Buzzing Usb Mic

Solution

Hello again jadenmcdadejaden

This can be tested using a tester. It is an easily-available and a must-have item for every home. Most likely you would already have one. If you don't, please try plugging your device to a different power outlet.

Nevertheless, this thread may help you check the earthing problem in your house.

Cheers!!
Hello jadenmcdadejaden

Can you please check if the power outlet your PC is connected to has proper grounding (earthing), and that the USB port and other connection ports have no carbon particles?

Also, please try updating the audio and related device drivers on your computer.

You can try a different power outlet in your or your friend's home to see if the issue is still there.

Please report back with the results for further assistance.

Cheers!! :)

Hello again jadenmcdadejaden

Yes please. You can do that.

The idea is to provide your PC the power from an outlet that has proper grounding. You can either take your PC near the outlet or use an extension cable instead.

For testing, if it's a laptop, you can temporary remove it from the power outlet altogether, whereas in case of a desktop computer, if you are using a UPS, disconnecting it from the main power outlet would serve the purpose equally well.

Cheers!! :)

Just wondering. Have you found a solution to this problem? I've been dealing with it for a full year now. Exchanged wires, mics, Phantom Power interfaces but still get the same noise
