Question Bypassing Windows 11's TPM requirement using Rufus didn't work ?

My older laptop does not have TPM. After reading Avram Piltch’s article on how to circumvent the TPM requirement I downloaded and followed the Rufus instructions. All my screens perfectly matched those of the posted instructions. I should then have had a portable Windows 11 installer that would by-pass TPM and the CPU requirements. Upon attempting to install Windows 11 however it stopped at the TPM requirement. I completely re-did the entire procedure again with the same results. Why is the Rufus procedure not working? I erased my flash drive and started over to make absolutely sure I had not done anything wrong - same result. I’ve updated many older computers to Windows 11 but they have all at least had TPM 1.2. This laptop did not, which is why I used Rufus. The laptop is extremely fast and has plenty of RAM, I should be able to upgrade it. Please help?
