C&C Generals = WC3 with tanks

when i go directly from one game to the other the resemblance is scary


even the "toyish" style of graphics are identicle. maybe a little more texture detail in C&C Generals but thats it, and minus the "Heros"

the gameplay style is so similar. im returning C&C Generals... its just not the same as teh old ones

I agree. Because in previous C&C games there was no "peon" class and now with the dozers in just seems to much like a Blizzard game, not that there is anything wrong with that.Blizzard makes some of the best RTS games on the market.
But I like a little variety, but overall they are both satisfying games to play.

Yup, C&C Generals isn't the game it should have been, but you know EAGames... money money + money...

um, that made no sense. generals isnt a rpg, and the game phial was comparing it to was warcraft (well warcraft 3). they are both strategy games...

i agree with you about the toyish nature of the graphics, and i didnt like the game either until i began playing online against friends. even then it was less about the game and more about beating down a buddy.

Hmmm. Red Alert 2's graphics are all sprite based. Generals uses 3D models.

Red Alert 2 rocks though, not dissing it.

are all rpg.

simcity you dont actually control the people. you try to build a city from the ground up and set the budget for a town. its a mayor/god/polition simulator, totally different than Strategy games..

Sim City = Simulation ala: "SIM" in the title. Roller Coaster Tycoon is another SIM game.

Jemcor, All those games you specified are RTS Games. RPG's are your Baldurs Gate, Planescape, Morrowind, Final Fantasy etc. Basically a game where you control one or a group of characters, develop them and journey with them through a large story.
