C drive keeps filling up

I have a 120gb SSD that I use as my C drive and a 2TB HDD as my D drive. I have no games installed onto my C drive, just the OS and game apps like steam, uplay, origin. I have all my games installed on the D drive but my C drive keeps filling up and now i only have 6GB left. I havent downloaded anything onto it. I ran CC cleaner but that didnt do anything. I have my downloads folder and recycling bin set to by D drive. Why is my C drive filling up and how to I stop it and free up more space? I used to have around 50gb free. Thanks
