I've got a problem with my oki c5700 printer. After a thunderstorm, which has destroyed my switch and router, the printer broke down as well. I've opened it and examined, no capacitor looks broken. After turning on the display says 'communication error' only, without any specified error code. Service menu is inaccesible, the PC does not recognise the printer. What has happened? I'm really worried, cause I need the printer for a forthcoming deadline.

Sounds like the surge that fried your other devices also fried your printer. Although most printers can be serviced, you may be looking at a bill to rival the cost of a new printer. Nothing much you can trouble-shoot without a selection of parts and knowing how to take the thing apart.
