Hey guys I currently have Charter Communications 100 Mbps service and AT&T is laying new Fiber Optic Cable in my area. Well my question is there packages currently run all the way up to 50Mbps. I would get the best package and all. I know there is latency with Cable and the more users on the slower. Would it be wise to get the AT&T service over the Charter? We do PS4 gaming, some movie downloading and we mostly Stream Netflix and Hulu services. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

DirectTV has a "deal" with AT&T - so if you are going to switch - make sure to mention this to the "salesperson"....you might get a discount on your current service for bundling. Also - if you have cell phones....AT&T also gives discounts there....
Yes they are actually starting with the largest city closest to me, which is St Louis and we are 30 miles away. The 1 Gbps service will roll out early next year. So I am hoping to eventually get that service. There are 3 family members in this house. For the most part at one time there would be maybe 3 netflix tvs going at once. I think the AT&T service would be able to handle that. Thanks for the replys!!

The only downside I know about AT&T - they have their TV service sharing the bandwidth to the internet - so there could be connectivity issues if you are watching/recording multiple shows while surfing the net. They don't have the 50Mbps in my area - it was only 18Mbps, so there may be a drastic difference there.

I am gonna keep Directv right now. They have treated me very well. I just checked AT&T service and the map shows that it's been confirmed in St Louis so I should be expecting it soon. They have spray painted are driveway because we are the first house on our road. Thanks everyone!!
