Cablemod help please?

I've as of late been messing around on PC part picker, and for the first time ever, I've considered selling my current PC, and rebuilding a new one. My new colour scheme is White, some black and an accent colour, possibly red.

Now, the part which has me stuck is... I have NO clue what cables I need for a modular PSU.

That is my parts list, and yes, I realise I missed out the GPU, but I'm going to wait until later in the year when Navi comes out.

Anyway, could someone go over the configurator cables on the cablemod site, and help me out?

To match the build themes, Skylake build has red colored power cables and Haswell build has blue colored power cables. Full specs with pics in my sig. (Once i get fully-modular PSU for AMD build, i'll also buy green colored power cables for it.)

I wish I could put more money and time into building. But being my age, money doesn't come round easily. I'm currently looking for a job to try and gather money to put together that build you saw. It'd be my first proper build, not just a case swap. Also, I LOVE your retro AMD build. I've personally been wanting to put together a portable PC, and the parts list is up on my Part Picker if you want to check that out?

Looked at your parts lists and if you want to build most portable PC, you should start out with PC case. Here's list of smallest mini-ITX cases in the world,

So, pick a case and then start picking components that go into it, so that everything fits into the case. Though, building mini-ITX system is really tough since you'll struggle with clearance at each step with 1mm or 0mm to spare. Then again, once you complete mini-ITX build in one of those small cases, the end result would be superb.

As far as small cube cases go, if Thermaltake Core V21 would've had 1x 5.25" external bay, i would've bought that for my AMD build instead of Sharkoon DG7000-G since i like the horizontal MoBo placement and Core V21 is the most customizable micro-ATX case i know. It's also stackable case with another Core V21 if more space is needed,

But since Core V21 doesn't have the needed 5.25" external bay, i went with tempered glass side panel case which created the nice black & green theme (not many PCs out there that would have black & green theme). For me, it's win-win situation either way.

About your Kingston A1000 240GB M.2 NVMe SSD, it's performance isn't better than regular 2.5" SATA SSD (e.g 850 Evo) since it only operates in 2x PCI-E lanes,

More than twice the performance for only 6 quid extra, not a bad deal at all in my opinion. Also, when it comes to the 240-256GB M.2 NVMe SSDs, Adata XPG SX8200 240GB is the value king. Meaning that it has the best price to performance ratio there is.
