Hi folks,

MS is inconsistent as heck in it's airport naming convention - they
use the Americanized names for German cities like Munich and Cologne.
Yet, if if you are trying to fly to Calcutta, you won't find it since
it's listed under Kolkata.

Is that the Indian name or has another city changed it's name while I
slept - seems to happen so often these days ;-)

Is FS educational ... or what ;-)

It's listed both ways in the index of my Oxford World Atlas, but the Indian
version on the map.

Actually, the friendly Customer Service folks at (not at) MS took a moment
from their scripts, called in and corrected the spelling...

Oh yes, these are in the native writing form, and of course there are some
others. Mumbai instead of Bombay.....;-))
Sorry, I didn't check whether it's named that way in FS. In R/L it is.......

It's Mumbai - just checked while flying EDDF to Kolkata.

Another amazing event - here I cruise at FL410 toward Kolkata and it's
snowing big flakes somewhere over Kazakhstan!!! Wow ....

I'm 6'2" and 248lbs and no-one ever called me small :-((

Have a good day. Auf Wiedersehen and Ciao...
