[SOLVED] Call of Duty 2 crashes when throwing grenade/holding breath

I'm hoping someone here can help. My friends and I like to play Call of Duty 2 on our LAN-parties because it's pretty much the same as any other newer FPS and it can run on virtually any machine. The problem I'm having is everytime I get hit by a grenade or I hold breath on a scoped gun it crashes without giving any error code. I'm running a really old machine with Windows 10 so I'm really glad that I could even install the latest drivers (for that GPU). I tried every compatibility mode there is and I ran it as admin. The specs are:

CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E7200
GPU: Sapphire x1950pro 256MB
MOBO: FOXCONN G33M02
RAM: 4GB DDR2
HDD: 500GB WD

The game is running in the 70fps range all the time.

I solved it! I just had to plug in both mic and output. Without anything it would crash, with just mic it would still crash and with just output it crashed on startup. I hope this helps somebody.
