Never had a system problem with COD till I plugged in my radeon 9800 pro. After a few mins of playing the system hangs and have to reboot. On the other hand Max Payne 2 and Jedi Academy works great. I did grab the cat 3.10 wich supposedly fixed this issue and still persists. Did rip/reinstall the game too with no luck. WTF?

I ran COD with my Radeon 9800PRO..ran fine for about 15 or 20 minutes, but that could be said for every 3d game I ran with it. Sent it back to NewEgg for RMA. It had a heating problem, even with the case sides off. Now Iam back to my Nvidia Ti 4200 with no problems at all. Got the Nazis on the run in Berlin! The 9800 series is notorious for heat problems. That`s why I also bought a GPU cooler called the "VGA Silencer" for my replacement when I get it. Maybe you should look into same??

I want to die like my Grandfather...in my sleep...not screaming in terror like his passengers.

Way ahead of you on that. Already got the VGA silencer on order. the 9800 just burn too damn hot for the crappy HSF that ATI decided to put on...
