Go into console (type `), and type /record.

Are you typing the right slash? It's the one down by the period. It always
works for me in matches and such.

All it does is return 'unknown cmd record' in the console.

That's odd. That would mean that it's not recognizing it as a valid
command. What version are you using and do you have any other problems with
the game?

You should get 1.4 and see if it helps.

I did, and using benchemall is what lead to my desire to
create my own custom timedemo.

I have 1.4 but haven't installed it yet cause
there is no 'No CD' crack as yet. When one comes out,
I'll try again. BTW, I can otherwise use the console
and the command 'cg_drawFPS' works.
