Recently got an Antec HCG-900W PSU. Question is, will this have any negative effect on my system?

Yeah, it is a good PSU, but you are wasting your money on electricity with that 900w (expect if you want to crossfire your GPU and overclock). Otherwise, for your build 550W-650W is enough.
