Question Can’t seem to find my m.2 as a bootable drive but it is is showing in my storage information in asus bios

Hello,

I have a
Ryzen 5 5600x
Gigabyte rtx3080
Asus b550a
32gb of ram
And a crucial p5 1tb m.2
I’m on windows 10
It all happened after I formatted my pc.
At first I was able to boot in but after leaving my of off for a while I can’t seem to boot into anything other than bios.
I have my csm on and tried going into the steps of other threads posted here and I still can never find my m.2 as a bootable drive. It is the only storage device I have on my pc. I can’t find it in the boot menu and in bios it is showing that I don’t have a nvme device.
I am so lost can someone please help.

Verify that I found the applicable User Manual.

Refer to the User manual to doublecheck all connections, installations, and configuration settings.

M.2 information is on Pages 1-11 and 2-6.

Hopefully the problem is just a simple error of omission or commission.

Please explain your statement "It all happened after I formatted my pc." What precisely did you do? A bootable drive must contain all of the elements that are necessary to boot, otherwise the bios will not detect it. So if you damaged one of those elements when you "formatted" that would explain why its not detected. Normally csm would also be off. So let's go back to what you did and what you formatted. Otherwise it sounds like you may need to reinstall windows. Also note that windows prefers that your drive have a GPT partition table header.
