I've a 4GB Ram G. SKILL RIPJAWS X F3-10666CL9S-4GBXL 1333MHz DDR3 in my slot 1.
Here are the specs:

I want to purchase another 4 GB stick to put in second slot. But I'm not getting the 1333 MHz variant in the market or online.

Yet the 1600 MHz variant of same model is available in market i.e. G. SKILL RIPJAWS X F3-12800CL9S-4GBXL.

Here are the specs:

Will the 1600 MHz variant of same Ram work with the 1333 MHz variant without giving a Blue Screen of Death?

Please help. 🙏

Whenever you don't get memory in a matched kit...there is a risk they won't...

Probable they may work together with the 1600 ram downclocking to 1333. Won't really know the outcome until they're both in the system.

There's no assurances in mixing ram and no one can give an answer you want to hear. All we can say is maybe.

Actually I think there is a also a slight risk even with a matched kit....but I think the risk is much much smaller.
So there is a risk it won't work.
...but being it's the same model...I think there is a pretty good chance it will.
I mix memory somewhat often...and most of the time...it works for me.

So the only way I can know is by buying it?
