Question Can a 2 core 4 thread i3-4130 or similar handle sending 1080p 240fps video to a dedicated gpu?

while playing a 1080p 240fps video, can the i3-4130 with say dual channel 1600mhz cl11 ram manage sending all of that video to a gpu for it to playback smoothly or will the cpu bottleneck the gpu from smoothly playing the video
Playing a video file?
Where do you get 240fps video?
This depends on video codec used. And if cpu supports decoding in hardware for this specific codec.

If you have a discrete gpu, then video decoding is done in GPU instead.

I am not even sure how you would verify this without trying.

Obviously, video at that frame rate wasn't really a thing when this CPU came out. Playback of a 'recorded' video is a whole different ballgame than actually rendering the frames.

I don't personally own a monitor that will display that framerate, regardless of what a counter is "reporting" being rendered, so no real way for me to test even with a far higher generation of CPU.
