So I have a core i5 2500 with 8gb ram and a GTX 770. I've recently loaded a couple of games (namely Batman Arkham Origins and Far Cry 3) and I've noticed a camera issue that is driving me nuts. I have the settings jacked up pretty decently and i'm running FRAPS to monitor my frames/sec. During my testing, I am getting a constant 60 frames per second with v-sync on. What I've noticed is that when I use my directional keys to move around, things looks perfectly fluid and smooth. When I move the camera with the mouse, however, the scenery looks jittery or choppy, even when I try to move the mouse in slow, small, deliberate movements. It's really distracting, especially knowing that I have what I would think is a relatively decent system. My current mouse is a wireless Logitech M510. It almost makes me wonder if my mouse isn't sending an adequate number of reports on its position to ensure a smooth camera experience. I've tried downloading Logitech Setpoint to tweak things like accelleration and I've also played with the mouse sensitivity, but to no avail. I've also tried in-game options like mouse smoothing, but they also don't seem to help. With some games, however, I haven't noticed this problem. Shadow of Mordor and its long range vistas seemed smooth, as does the new Wolfenstein. So I'm considering the purchase of a wired Logitech G400s which is known for having a 3600-4000 dpi rating. I've read a lot of conflicting information about mouse DPI, and I can't find figures anwhere on the dpi range of my current mouse. Could a new mouse help, or would I be wasting my money? More importantly, can having a higher quality mouse result in a better looking game? Thanks guys.
