Can a FX 6300 Multitask?

Any modern computer IS a multitasking computer and is doing much more than you might expect while browsing the internet or even just sitting 'idle'. If you have a game which isn't CPU intensive (some games are more CPU intensive, some are more GPU intensive).

Easiest way to know is to run just Skype, check your CPU usage average for a minute or two. Then fire up just the game, and check the CPU usage for that. Add them together and if you're below 90%, you're good.

FX 6300 at stock will multitask OK, but being unlocked it has a lot of OC potential.

I'm currently tuning a 4th build for a friend based on this chip. Got it to 4.375 GHz on just 1.275v core. With CPU NB at just 1.2v ram is still stable and temps don't go over 47c with a hyper 212 EVO cooler.

If you have a good cooler (* NOT the stock cooler) and a solid motherboard with a good VRM you could look into tuning it for a decent OC.
