Make and model AVR? Source, condition, age, specs?

From the AVR text:
"
AVR captures current fluctuations and maintains the normal flow of output voltage. So, it stops fluctuations in electricity caused by factors such as inadequate power regulations and lightning from damaging your devices. [My underline.]
If the socket is loose and the laptop's plug is moving then that movement may cause the very problems that the AVR is intended to manage/prevent.
Any loose plug is problematic. The immediate results may not be as severe as your list but I would not continue using the loose socket.
Just my thoughts on the matter.
