[SOLVED] Can a laptop's monitor be burn out?

No idea but i closed it for a few months and it didnt work after some time (my laptop sits at around 85 C while gaming.

A cursory glance on the internet tells me that LCDs can deteriorate in hot conditions. So if you left it closed that entire time while gaming, there's a good chance you damaged the display.
