Hi, I just bought a 700 watt PSU and I found that it only had 1 6 pin PCIe connector, will a 1 x 6pin to 8pin adapter work on the GPU. The make of the PSU is: Dany. I don't have the GPU yet cause I just want to make sure if it will work or not.

Solution
I've personally found that 6 to 8 pin adapters rarely work. For any chance of it working you'd need a 2x 6pin to 1x 8pin adapter to get enough available current. If you can, try and return that power supply. Any power supply rated at 700w without at least 1 8pin PCI-E power connector is probably a hunk of junk.

Is it maybe possible to kind of combine molex connectors say to get to a 2 pin and use the plain 6pin and use a 6 + 2 pin connector
