Heyya folks,

I’m having a weird issue with my setup and could use some advice.

My setup:

GPU: Inno3D RTX 3080 (4-fan model, 3x DP + 1x HDMI)
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
Mobo: Gigabyte A320m
Power supply: Cooler Master 750w.

Monitors:

Main: 1080p monitor via HDMI

Secondary: Old 4:3 VGA monitor (1400×1050) connected through DP to VGA adapter

TV: Samsung 55" QLED 4K (Game Mode enabled, auto-triggers when PC is connected)

Cables: Regular HDMI for main monitor, long HDMI cable for TV (swapped manually when I want to game on the TV)

What happens:

1. Usually, when I connect a long HDMI to my TV (due to my setup being far from the TV -10 mtrs), it says “Found source: PC, setting up display” with a loading animation, and it worked fine even in "Game mode".

2. Yesterday, when I tried, the screen stayed blank in Game Mode. If I switched the TV to Normal Mode, the picture came back.

3. In Normal Mode, the In-Game resolution was stuck to my old VGA monitor’s 1400×1050 max.

4. I set the TV as the only display in Windows, resolution options unlocked up to 4K.

5. I chose 2K (1440p), hit apply, TV went black again, both displays lost signal, and I had to restart the PC to get the Video output again.

Now, every time I try a higher res on the TV, it either blanks out or locks to the VGA monitor’s resolution.

What I’ve tried so far:

Switched TV Game Mode on/off, works only in Normal Mode, but resolution is weird.

Rebooted with TV as sole display , resolutions unlock, but changing them causes black screen.

Swapped back to my main HDMI monitor, works fine, so GPU is alive.

It's a weird issue, dunno what's causing this it can either be my GPU/GPU driver(Which I recently updated) or it might be the TV itself or even the cable

Any help, would be appreciated. Thanks.

Gigabyte have a number of motherboard's under the A320 chipset in an matx form factor, which one do you have? What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

Power supply: Cooler Master 750w.
Coolermaster is the brand of the unit while 750W is the advertised wattage of the unit. What is the model of the unit and it's age?

What version of Nvidia's driver are you working with?

Sorry about that.
