I want power when plugged in, but I can live with low power when I go outside.
Been eyeing the i5-8250u, but worried I won't get enough power when plugged in for heavy tasks.
So thinking of maybe getting i5-7300hg or i7-7700hq
With my laptop now, I can go in power management and reduce maximum CPU to 1% , that equals .80 Ghz and my battery lasts much longer...
Is this a good strategy to use to save battery on powerful notebooks with power hungry CPU while unplugged?
