Didn't read th article as it seems stupid. But once they somehow intergrade the technology where all I gotta do is think to text someone, then Maybe lol

No, and not being part of Gen Y has nothing to do with it.
People as far back as I can remember, ALWAYS wear clothes. And I cant think of anyone off the top of my head, regardless of age, that even though they couldn't go without clothes on a daily basis, considers them a body part.
I wear a ballcap EVERYDAY. (laziness started it from not wanting to fuss with my hair, and now is part of what people assume to see me in, I get asked where it is if I don't have it). But its not 'part of my body"

So i think they are mixing up, much like going out without clothes or me without my hat, "I would feel as I am missing something all day" with "I feel I'm missing a body part".

Also I thought Gen Y was MORE tech savvy...but this "57 percent share their email address if they receive some sort of discount in return"...seems to indicate they are not.

OH I GET IT. iN

For everyone who thinks they are above average, they probably don't realize that they have a larger dependency to a computer and the Internet's hivemind than they do with a fresh new idea or opinion they can think of in their head.

There are no words to express the dismay that washes over me as I read this.

The article raises an important question, however. Is it dumber to believe that your phone is a part of your body, or to think that person's opinion is newsworthy?

Splendid
While I don't think of my phone as a body part and will never understand the need to Facebook or Tweet I certainly do not like to go out of the house without my phone. I've a soft-addiction to it. I take for granted being able to communicate instantly and the ability to get any piece of information or important document I need quick, fast, and in a hurry.

PS for those who didn't bother to read the article it did not say that cell phone was part of the body , the actual survey question was is it as important as a bone.

I'm 25, so i would be considered Generation Y. No, I don't consider a smartphone -that- important considering i lived without one for 23 years.

Generation Z I can see believing this.

[citation][nom]valeraklingensmit[/nom]My last pay check was $9500 working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 15k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can't believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what I do,, www.nyan.cat[/citation]
Thanks to this article, NOW I know who actually falls for these blatant scams...

Without my cell phone, I would be...

without my watch and the ability to run a few apps so that I'm not on a corporate network. That's about it
