I recently bought fable the lost chapters for the pc, and i was surprised to see how buggy it is. in 3 days of playing it i had over a dozen freezes, and and more crashes and rebots than i could count. thismorning when i went to start my pc it said that my operating system was in need of repair. so i used vista's repair tool and it still says that the HDD is in need of repair. i was unable to install xp on it also. since my pc was fine before this im pretty sure that fable killed my HDD. right now i am using a spare hdd, but is there any way to fix my broken hdd?? formating dosnt help, im wondering if i should just throw this out or if there is something that can help. thanks

aww not a nice situation to be in... wonder how annoyed u would be if u had 2 velociraptors :O $600 ish worth of hardware broken LOL

a game will never be able to kill hardware, however, if you are having alot a software crashes in the game this could contribute to hard drive corruption which in turn could make your machine unbootable. Id suggest the same as roadrunner and run a chkdsk over the drive.

I also just bought that game 3 months ago ang I was able to finish the game with encountering even a single crash. So it's unlikely it's the game. It's more likely your hardware it to blame.....

I'm thinking that your hard drive is already defective on that time and is causing Fable/Windows to crash.
