Can a Windows Refurbished Key be re-installed on the same computer

I have a basic older computer and I want to switch to linux to just run a lighter OS. On the off chance I want to switch back can I re-use that same windows 7 refurbished key .

BTW its one of those keys thats located on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop.

I wont Dual-Boot because the drive is only 60gb and I want to try both for a while and use up space like normal usage.

The license is good for that computer. Install as many times as you need to (on that computer or laptop).

Some girl who was in microsoft's tech support line said you have to buy a new key.
