Question Can an external soundcard reduce background noise

The title says it all,My headphones pick up some static and ambient noise and i heard somehwere that using a external soundcard can help fix that? Is it true and if it is can someone recommend a cheap sound card
If this is the wrong Place to post,Can someone tell me where to ask this question

Headphones-Mostly Onikuma K8 but will be switching alot of times to new ones..Motherboard wise Its the basic one that you find in a dell optiplex 9020,No custom one.You may find ir here

They are not cheap tho almost above 300 dollars and are not commonly used for mics,Mostly music

Get a usb DAC. Schiit Fulla is 99$

Also Focusrite Scarlett USB interface is only 156 and can handle mics and music

So in general this will pretty much remove most of the background noise,Its almost $100 and i can get a Blue yeti in that price range with minimal Noise.This has to be a great deal

You should get what you want. I have a Fulla and love it. Zero noise. All audio

Blue yeti is a microphone and it is not a dac or an amp
