I would lean toward the Philips. I am not a fan of TCL products, overall. Mostly a personal bias based on the quality of the products and history.

I would have said the TCL, because I really liked the Roku interface they used to incorporate, but as far as I know they ended their Roku partnership.

I think you are right. I have a TCL, as does my neighbor. Honestly, there are mediocre at best. The TCL I have was left by a tenant and it is in a spare room.
