Can anyone help me with this thin black line?

I have just opened up my laptop and sign in to see a thin black line going down the middle of the screen on the desktop. but when I load up an app, e.g. google chrome, the line will disappear. I have changed the background picture and it is still there. The OS that i am running is Windows 10.Can anyone help?

Please pass on the make and model number for your laptop. It might be possible that the OS and/or your drivers may be corrupted. You can run system restore to a point prior to when the issue cropped up and later try a repair install and see if the issue is resolved. My laptop is a Lenovo G50-70 i7 processor

I have just turned it off and turned it back on and it has disappeared. Does this still mean that the driver could be corrupt?
