Can Asus B85M-G support RTX2080 to it's full??

Hi there,

I have an old computer which I hope to squeeze last breath out of.

The motherboard is ASUS B85M-G and I am keen on buying ASUS DUAL OC RTX 2080.

I just realised that I needed to replace power as it requires 2 x 8pin power. Then it dawned on me, does this old MB support it?

What CPU are you using ? I doubt that you will be able to simply stick a 2080ti into this system.

Don't see why not, it's got PCI-E3.0x16, it'll be fine, can the CPU feed the 2080 fast enough? that's a different question.

I am on a phone so I have no idea how to reply to answers, but thanks for quick responses! my CPU is i7 4770, I will be buying new parts but I hope it is enough for now

Is a i5 4690K strong enought?
