So it gets in the teens around here where I live and my desktop runs 24/7/365. I'm worried at this point my CPU turned to max using the ASUS software included is only reaching about 53 degrees Faren.. Is there a cold limit i should avoid? I have to heat teh building it's in when i'm there working, but at night and some weekends it's just gets cold and stays there... Teens is about the worst it gets, but is that a problem?

Thanks!

I would not expect low temps in the teens (F?) to be a problem. But condensation might be. And not just the CPU. As long as the machine is running, there should be no condensation, tho. Only if it is shut down long enough for it to get cold.

I've seen some hardware have issues when temps were below 32F (lots of older DotHill and NetApp RAID controllers/filer controllers simply refuse to operate the drive pool under those temps), and, some large 3 phase cooling fans were a bit reluctant to spinup at 7F), but, given a half hour to warm up, everything then functioned fine....(Those temps were on a frigid flightline in Feb/March in Nebraska, and, on an airplane, for those curious!)

But I'd not expect any issues with hardware already running dealing with ambients cooled into the teens....

It never stops running, the building has thick walls and is sealed pretty well (amish built), but there is only a couple space heaters which i turn on only when i'm out there. It runs all the time i get an alert if it turns off for any reason and boot it right back up. teens is about as worse as it gets though.

Thanks for your responses!
