Can Drive Letters A and B Now Be Used For HDDs and SSDs?

In the old days drive letters A and B were reserved for floppy drives. Is that still true in Windows 10? It would be a shame to not be able to make my new SSD, which I plan to make my boot drive, drive A.

On systems which have no floppy-disk drives, you can assign a data drive to letter A: or B:, but not a boot drive.

Like said C: is always the set boot able drive used for a drive that contains a working os install.

A: B: Data storage.
