I posted earlier about help with my HP 722c printer that is not printing. After further searching this website I found information about electrical contacts needing to be made between the ink/toner cartridge and the printer. I have recently purchased 2 new print cartridges and each worked for about 20 sheets of paper, then started to streak and then didn't print any ink at all. I was very careful how I put each one into the printer. Could he electrical contacts be the problem as I just had he entire printer cleaned by a shop and they couldn't find anything wrong, but also were unable to get the cartridges to print. Any help would be appreciated -- I love this printer and would like to keep using it.

if you remove the cartridges you could take a look and see what the contacts look like. if they have dark spots on them you could polish them up.

if this is the first time you've had trouble then chances are though its an issue with the cartridges.

you say they are new.. but if they have sat for awhile between the last print and now (perhaps a month or two) they could be gummed up with ink. you could use some 95% isopropyl alcohol on a qtip (cotton swab) to clean the bottom of the cartridge and see if that helps.

also are you using name brand cartridges? some aftermarket branded ones do not work well. before assuming the worst perhaps try a different cartridge (
